The burgers are amazing, the bulgogi and fried squid are also great, prices range from about 18-30 a plate.

How do you make chinese food in the northern-most town in America?! These people are in insane! Also, what do you expect when there’s no road connection to barrow, just by plane? HIGH PRICES, and yes, it does NOT have a mcdonalds there, Shocked, Right?

Great food and prices for the area

The food was so good

We were told by our B&B host that this was our best bet for lunch in town—because the food is decent and it was a short walk away. We had the place to ourselves and took a long time deciding what to order from the various options (pizza, Chinese, Korean, assorted American) and settled on Buffalo Wings, Fries, and a French Dip. It was expensive, but decent. Service was friendly and food was satisfying. Restaurant was clean. With the limited options in town, you really can’t top that!

Be sure to order the real chicken it’s definitely better than the chicken.

Forget the negative reviews!! These guys are priced for the region, have good food, and will adjust the menu for your needs. Only negative is expired diet sodas. But that is most of Utqiagvik. Keep up the good work northern lights!!

Pretty good for Utqiaġvik. Had a decent pizza, crispy crust and not to thick.

Found a long hair intertwined with my Mongolian beef. When reported to the owners, she ran away into the kitchen and did not deal with it. So disgusting!

Great Chinese food

Their burgers are my favorite.

A previous review talks about an ocean view, including the whale bone arches... but that was the former Brower's Cafe, which has closed. Northern Lights does not have a great view. It is a family operated business, and they are a wonderful family too! The food is okay, etc etc. Nothing special, nothing wrong either. Eating out in Barrow is always a bit of an adventure...

Great restaurant to visit and eat at while in Barrow, the staff are super friendly and help to make visitors feel welcome. In addition by far the best Kung pow chicken I have ever had and there soup is to die for!

I had the Mongolian Beef when I ate from there. Very tasty and flavorful in my opinion. It may seem pricey but this restaurant is located in the northernmost city in North America, so the prices are on par with other restaurants around the city. I recommend this place.
